The Start

I’ve always felt that I could give good advice. If I’ve ever felt that I didn’t have a solution to someone’s problem, I’d just listen to them and feel a bit frustrated that I wasn’t able to help them. We all know that not all problems we experience in life are black and white. And as I’ve grown older I see there are many variables that affect the reason for the problem. And that causes me to doubt myself when trying to help someone.

FAMILY

Having a family is so much different than being single. That’s obvious. And if you don’t have your act together it all goes to crap. Families don’t run themselves. Children don’t teach themselves and it takes patience, lot’s of patience to be their teacher. It can bring out the best and worst in you. Just make sure your ready for it or else it will kick your ass both physically and mentally.

HEALTH

Who wouldn’t want to be like Wolverine? Having a metal reinforced skeleton and being able to heal in seconds would allow us to live long, long disease free lives. I can do without the blades coming out of my hands, but they could come in handy. But because he’s a fictional character and from my knowledge no one is really like that, we rely on exercise, rest and eating well to keep our bodies in good condition. And even after all of that, we are all still susceptible to disease no matter how many anti-oxidants we put into our bodies. The only thing we can do is treat our bodies the best we can, get regular physicals and try to stay sane. I stress “try” in that last sentence. It can be hard.

MONEY

I love money. I love having a lot of money. But I don’t have a lot of money. And you probably don’t either. If you did, you wouldn’t be reading this. You would be on a beach somewhere exotic, sipping a cool drink as the ocean breeze blows through your hair. I’m happy sitting on my back porch, over looking a freshly mowed lawn, enjoying a cigar. But I wouldn’t mind one bit to be enjoying that cigar on that beach.
